Marc Chagall Days kick off in Vitsyebsk
The traditional annual Marc Chagall Days began in Vitsyebsk on July 7. The Days, held for the 17th time, mark the 120th birthday of the renowned Vitsyebsk-born artist.
An open door day was held at the Marc Chagall museum in Vitsyebsk on Saturday. Visitors were told how the museum's collection was gathered and how a museum was established in the artist's native house on Pakrowskaya Street, where a traditional festival will take place, Lyudmila Khmyanitskaya, director of the museum, told BelaPAN. According to her, the festival will feature performances by a Moscow percussion band called Theater of Sounds and a Russian circus group. //BelaPAN
