Belarusian State University signs cooperation agreement with China's Harbin University of Science and Technology
A cooperation agreement between Belarusian State University (BHU) and China's Harbin University of Science and Technology was signed in Minsk on December 6, according to the BHU press office.
The accord provides for research traineeships and exchanges of students and professors.
First Vice Rector Viktar Samakhval signed the agreement on behalf of BHU.
While on a four-day visit, which will last until Saturday, the representatives of Harbin University will familiarize themselves with BHU's chemistry department and its Physics and Chemistry Research Institute. The Chinese delegation is also expected to visit the university's history and geosciences museums.
The history of Harbin University of Science and Technology University dates back to the establishment of a Chinese-Russian technical school in 1920. It is one of China's top nine universities, with 55,500 students, including more than 1000 foreigners. //BelaPAN
