Representatives of 10 Belarusian enterprises and organizations left for Beijing on January 20 to take part in a Belarusian-Chinese trade and economic forum that had been organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the China International Trade Promotion Committee (CITPC) with the assistance of the Belarusian embassy in China.
As a source at the BCCI told BelaPAN, the Chamber’s office will be opened in Beijing during the forum on January 22.
Speakers at the forum are expected to include Anatol Tozik, the Belarusian ambassador to China; BCCI Chairman Vasil Ramanaw; CITPC Chairman Wan Jifei; Dzyanis Nepsha, deputy director general of the BCCI Brest branch; and Ihar Babak, director of the BCCI Office in China.
A Belarusian-Chinese business matchmaking session is to be held following the forum. More than 80 Chinese businesspeople are expected to take part in it.
During the Belarusian delegation’s stay in China, which is to last until January 25, Messrs. Ramanaw and Wan plan to discuss the current state and development prospects of cooperation between Belarus and China in the framework of their organizations, according to the BCCI.
Members of the Belarusian delegation are to visit a number of enterprises in Beijing.
