Prime Minister Sidorski to lead Belarus’ delegation to investment forum in London
Prime Minister Syarhey Sidorski will lead the country’s delegation to a November 18 forum in London, which will be used for promoting Belarus’ investment opportunities, according to the Belarusian foreign ministry’s press office.
The delegation will include government officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Kabyakow, Finance Minister Andrey Kharkavets and Viktar Matsyushewski, deputy chairman of the National Bank, as well as businesspeople.
The forum is expected to be attended by Thomas Mirow, president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development; Supachai Panitchpakdi, secretary general of the UN Conference on Trade and Development; and prominent British economist Robert Skidelsky.
“The Belarusian investment forum is a unique opportunity for leading representatives of investment and business circles to meet key government figures and businesspeople from Belarus,” the press office said.
The forum is expected to promote investment opportunities in the petrochemical, food and light industries and agriculture. //BelaPAN
