Poland and Belarus maintain a “normal, constructive dialogue that involves no ultimatums,” Andrzej Kremer, Poland’s deputy foreign minister, said in an interview with BelaPAN.
He said that the Polish and Belarusian foreign ministries had held a round of consultations in Warsaw on March 4 and 5 at the level of deputy ministers to discuss bilateral cooperation in various spheres, as well as relations between Belarus and the European Union.
“Brussels speaks about several recommendations for the normalization of the relationship and we support them, but not in the form of an ultimatum. We discuss and say what can be done, including on the situation regarding the Union of Belarusian Poles. But this is a dialogue, not an ultimatum,” Mr. Kremer stressed.
The deputy minister said that the Polish and Belarusian prime ministers could meet on the sidelines of an exhibition of Belarusian-made goods in Warsaw this June.
