The implementation of the Belarusian-Russian Union State programs is improving despite the current economic crisis, Dmitry Sablin, chairman of the budget and finance committee in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State, said at the committee’s meeting in Minsk on June 2.
The 2010 Union State budget should be adopted as soon as possible to allow Belarus and Russia to start carrying out new Union State programs at the beginning of the year, Mr. Sablin said.
The committee discussed the implementation of the 2009 Union State budget and found it to be satisfactory.
As of May 28, the Union State budget’s revenues and expenditures accounted for 82 and 58.3 percent of the amount projected for the first two quarters. Contributions by Belarus and Russia fell short of the projection by 33 and 17.6 percent, respectively. //BelaPAN
