Italian ambassador visits children’s mental health center

Italian Ambassador Giulio Prigioni on Friday visited a children’s mental health center to distribute Italian families’ gifts among autistic children.

The diplomat said that he had been impressed by the center.

“I was stunned by how much professional its staff are, not only doctors but also teachers, nurses. I am pleased to see this not only as a representative of the Italian embassy but also as the president of a charitable association for assistance to children. Of course, there are always many problems and what we do is just a small fraction of what they need,” Mr. Prigioni said.

“We maintain contacts with Italian organizations and doctors and an experience exchange with Belarusian colleagues may help these children. I, for my part, promise that I will help Belarusian children the way I help Italian ones,” he said.
