Belarusbank obtains $60-million syndicated loan
Belarusbank has struck a deal to obtain its sixth syndicated loan from foreign financial institutions, the press office of the Belarusian largest bank told BelaPAN.
The $60-million loan has been organized by Italy's Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. and Russia's Bank VTB, as well as OTP Group, Russia's Alfa Bank and Germany's VTB Bank Deutschland AG, according to the press office.
Referring to one of the organizers of the loan, Belarusbank said that the deal struck amid an unstable and volatile financial market was evidence that foreign investors are still interested in Belarusian borrowers.
The state-owned bank plans to expand its presence in the international financial market and continue attracting money to the Belarusian economy through foreign loans, the press office said.
