Lukashenka issues decree to boost starts-up in rural areas

Alyaksandr Lukashenka on March 1 issued a decree aimed at boosting starts-up in rural areas and small towns and making the areas more attractive for investors, the Belarusian leader’s press office said.

The decree expands the list of companies and sole entrepreneurs entitled to preferential treatment. It expands the application of reduced rates of customs duty and value-added tax to all imports that are classified as technical equipment under the country’s laws. The measure will exempt businesses in rural areas from the requirement to apply to the regional governments for papers confirming the nature of the imports. //BelaPAN
