A Vitsyebsk-based activist of the organizing committee for Belarusian Christian Democracy seeking access to the ballot in the coming local elections has decided to appeal to voters with the help of Belarusian poems.
Uladzimir Ramanovich chooses crowded places for his readings that he hopes will help him gather more ballot-access signatures.
The opposition activist reads poems by Yanka Kupala, Uladzimir Karatkevich, his own verses and verses written by young Belarusian poets. Belarusian poems are displayed along with Mr. Ramanovich’s short biography on his election banner. //BelaPAN
