Vice president of Italy’s Cagliari region to visit Minsk this week
A vice president of Cagliari, a region on the Italian island of Sardinia, will pay an official visit to Belarus on March 10 and 11.
Cagliari Vice President Angela Maria Quaquero will hold meetings at the labor and education ministries, as well as visit the labor ministry’s National Institute of Further Training.
She will also visit the Sardinia Global center that was set up in the Belarusian capital city six years ago with financial assistance from the Sardinia authorities to train jobless youths in construction jobs in accordance with European standards.
The visit to Belarus is being organized by the Belarusian honorary consulate in Cagliari in cooperation with the Center of International Ties of the Belarusian education ministry for the purpose of stepping up relations between the local authorities in Italy and the Belarusian government.
“The authorities of the Cagliari region take a huge interest in Belarus’ experience in social and youth policies,” said the press office of the honorary consulate. “The Italian side is interested in carrying out international workshops and joint research, organizing training trips for experts and developing joint social projects.” //BelaPAN
