Head of presidential press office denies reports that Lukashenka is staying in Venezuela
The head of the presidential press office denied reports that Alyaksandr Lukashenka was visiting Venezuela on Thursday.
"This is not true. The president is staying in Minsk," Pavel Lyohki told BelaPAN.
The Agency of Financial News said on March 11 that the Belarusian leader had headed for the South American country on Wednesday in company with senior government officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Uladzimir Syamashka. "This information has been confirmed by several high-level Belarusian officials," the agency said.
