Belarus plans to export a three-beam laser system that has been developed by the country’s scientists, Syarhey Rakhmanaw, deputy head of the National Academy of Sciences, told reporters in Minsk on Friday, BelaPAN reports.
Mr. Rakhmnaw described the system, developed under a program of the academy of sciences, as unique, saying that other countries use only one or two-beam laser systems. The technology allows performing complicated minimally invasive surgeries without risks of infection and with good cosmetic effects, he noted.
Alyaksandr Varabey, of the Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, said that the laser systems were already in use in Belarus, with more than 800 surgeries, mostly on patients with varicose vein diseases, already performed with the help of them.
