Further measures will be taken to encourage jobless people to move to other localities, says deputy labor minister

The Belarusian government will continue encouraging unemployed people to move to localities where more jobs are available, Pyotr Hrushnik, first deputy minister of labor and social security, told reporters in Minsk on May 19, as quoted by BelaPAN.

Allowances offered to such migrants have been recently increased from 11 to 15 times the Subsistence Minimum Budget, the deputy minister said.

“We have good conditions in agro-towns to receive these people. New homes are being built there,” he said. “The migration practice will be continued.”
