A festival of experimental art kicked off at the pictorial art gallery of the Palace of Arts in Minsk on July 13, BelaPAN reports.
The 11th Dach festival, nicknamed Mageia Cerebrum (The Dark Secrets of the Mind), will last 30 days. Its program features the screening of movies, music shows and artistic performances.
There will be a lot of music and performances, said organizer Dzmitry Yurkevich, known as Mitrych.
His inaugural speech was brief. “Come, bring friends and watch,” the artist said.
The first Dach festival was held in Tacheles, a bar and installation art gallery, in Germany`s Berlin in 2001. Since then, it has been held almost every year, either in Belarus or Germany, brining together people who are not afraid of experimenting with sounds, words, gestures, melodies and colors.
