Hi-Tech Park's software exports said up 27.6 percent in first six months

The software exports of the High-Tech Park (HTP) in Minsk increased by 27.6 percent year-on-year in the first six months of 2010, said the HTP press office, as quoted by BelaPAN.

According to the press office, 79 percent of the HTP’s overall output was exported, with exports to North America accounting for 42 percent, to Western Europe for 30 percent and to CIS countries for 21 percent.

In the first six months of 2010, the HTP’s resident companies reportedly received orders from customers in 48 countries.

The Park's software output rose by 40 percent, the press office said.

According to it, there were 7,867 people on the payroll of the Park's resident companies as of July 1, with their average wage being 3,416,000 rubels ($1,131). A total of 419 new jobs were created in the Park in the first six months of the year.

As of July 1, the HTP had 84 resident companies.

The High-Tech Park in Minsk was established by Alyaksandr Lukashenka's presidential decree in September 2005.
