Belarusian champions BATE Barysaw on August 19 gained a 3-0 home win over Portuguese Maritimo Funchal in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League playoff round, BelaPAN reports.
All the goals arrived in a 14-minute spell in the second half, as Edhar Alyakhnovich, Renan Bressan and Alexander Pavlov scored.
The return leg will be played in Portugal on August 26.
