Sting plays in Minsk

British singer and songwriter Sting played at Minsk Arenka on September 18 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BelaPAN reports.

Sting gave the three-hour concert in the Belarusian capital city as part of his Symphonicity world tour, which he started with the 50-piece band in Vancouver on June 2.

The 15,000-seat venue at Minsk Arena was almost filled to capacity. Sting talked to the audience, using several courtesy phrases in the Russian language.

The show was organized by Allstars and the Belarusian State Circus. Tickets were available with prices starting from 120,000 rubels ($40).
