Some $311 million to be allocated for construction and renovation of over 100 social facilities in Minsk
Around 948.2 billion rubels ($311 million) in budgetary funds will be allocated for the construction and renovation of more than 100 “important” social facilities in the Belarusian capital city, the press office of the Minsk City Executive Committee’s statistics department said on Monday.
The projects are expected to be completed this year, the press office said.
A fourth of the sum is to go toward the construction of a complex of students’ dormitories on Dzyarzhynskaha Avenue, the press office said, noting that one dormitory capable of accommodating 1,032 people was opened in the first quarter of this year.
Money will also go toward the renovation of the centers of neurology and neurosurgery, hematology and transfusion medicine, pulmonology and phthisiology, as well as of the National Research and Development Cardiology Center, the Mother and Baby maternity hospital, the Main Military Clinical Medical Center, higher education institutions, the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater, the National Museum of Belarus’ History and Culture, the Minsk State Art School, and sports facilities.
Some 46.4 billion rubels will be spent on the construction of apartments for foster families and other groups entitled to state support. //BelaPAN
