Fire damages Grand Choral Synagogue of Hrodna
A fire that broke out at about 3 a.m. on November 27 damaged the Grand Choral Synagogue of Hrodna.
The fire was reported by a police patrol who noticed smoke coming from second-floor windows of the building, located on Vyalikaya Trayetskaya Street.
Firefighters promptly put out the blaze, preventing from spreading.
The fire, which originated from the synagogue’s dining hall, is believed to have been caused by a faulty chimney.
