International exhibition of sports goods opens in Minsk

An international exhibition of goods for sports and exercise opened in Minsk's soccer arena on May 13.

The three-day exhibition, which also showcases equipment for treating sports-related injuries, features some 100 companies representing Belarus, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.

While opening the event, Uladzimir Kukharaw, first deputy chairperson of the Minsk City Executive Committee, expressed certainty that it would help fans of active lifestyles and exercise to learn more about world-famous brands and new technologies.

"I will say one thing: when people have sports and love in their heart and head, they have no time left for any foolish things and wars," said former cycling star Natallya Tsylinskaya. //BelaPAN
