Yarmoshyna pledges to try to give foreign election observers no cause for criticism

Lidziya Yarmoshyna, head of the central election commission, expressed hope on Tuesday that foreign observers would not criticize this year's presidential election.

"I have nothing left but hope for the best and work to rule out any cause for criticism," she told reporters after the House of Representatives scheduled the election for October 11.

Although it is impossible to work without errors, "one has to work without flaws that could influence the course of the election," said Ms. Yarmoshyna.
