In 2006, Sanne Nijhof  was named the winning contestant of Cycle 1 of Holland's Next Top Model after making it to the finals with Sylvia Geersen.

Before Sanne Nijhof was a contestant, in the first cycle of Holland's Next Top Model, Nijhof was at a high-level of horse riding, but she suffered from the disease of infectious mononucleosis, so Sanne Nijhof had to stop.
