Government set to raise sharply funding for nanotechnology industry

Belarus had the highest inflation rate among the post-Soviet nations in January 2013, according to official statistical data.

Consumer prices reportedly rose by three percent in Belarus in the first month of 2013 compared with 2.9 percent in Armenia, 1.2 percent in Azerbaijan, one percent in Russia, 0.9 percent in Kazakhstan, 0.8 percent in Kyrgyzstan and Moldova, 0.7 percent in Estonia, 0.5 percent in Tajikistan, 0.3 percent in Georgia and 0.2 percent in Lithuania and Ukraine.

Consumer prices fell by 0.2 percent in Latvia.
No data were available for consumer prices in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan because the governments publish the data once in four months.

Belarus had the highest inflation rate among the post-Soviet nations in 2011 and 2012 with 8.7-percent increase and 21.8-percent increase respectively. //BelaPAN
