Lukashenka orders staff at state television and radio company cut by third
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has ordered the number of employees at the Belarusian State Television and Radio Company (BSTRC) cut by a third, according to media reports.
Mr. Lukashenka’s April 12 edict, which ordered a 25-percent reduction in the number of government employees, directed that the number of government-funded staff at the BSTRC should be cut from 2,271 to 1,553 people, said the opposition news website charter97.org.
Sixty-six employees of the BSTRC currently have the status of government official. //BelaPAN
