Belarus ninth in Bloomberg's ranking of "vice-prone" countries

Belarus was ninth in the US news agency Bloomberg's recent ranking of "vice-prone" countries.

Bloomberg ranked 57 countries on their propensity for vice, measured by alcohol and cigarette consumption, drug use and gambling levels.
According to the agency, Belarus' average annual per capita consumption of alcohol and cigarettes is 18.85 liters and 2,266 pieces, respectively. As many as 2.28 percent of the population were said to consume illicit drugs, while the country's net gambling losses were estimated at 0.25 percent of Gross Domestic Product.

The chart is topped by the Czech Republic, followed by Slovenia, Australia, Armenia, Bulgaria, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia. Greece rounded out the top 10. //BelaPAN
