Members of Canadian team take dip in icy waters of Minsk lake ahead of 10th Christmas International Ice Hockey Tournament

Members of a team that represents Canada at the 10th Christmas International Ice Hockey Tournament in Minsk took a dip in the icy waters of Lake Kamsamolskaye.

The tournament, which the government-controlled media have called “an unofficial world championship among amateur teams,” features the team, which is captained by Mr. Lukashenka, as well as teams from Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ukraine. The tournament kicks off on January 3.

One of those who plunged into the ice-cold water was J. McKee, a 36-year-old defenseman who played 802 games in the National Hockey League.
