Демографическая ситуация в Беларуси продолжает улучшаться, сообщила БЕЛТА пресс-секретарь Национального статистического комитета Ольга Клавсуть.

Общая убыль населения в 2012 году по сравнению с 2011 годом уменьшилась в 8,8 раза.

По оперативным данным, численность населения республики на 1 января 2013 года составила 9 млн. 463,3 тыс. человек. Это на 1,9 тыс. человек меньше, чем на 1 января 2012 года.

Численность жителей за 2012 год увеличилась в Минске с 1 млн. 885,1 тыс. человек на 1 января 2012 года до 1 млн. 900,8 тыс. на 1 января текущего года. В остальных регионах республики количество жителей за 2012 года уменьшилось. В результате на 1 января нынешнего года в Гомельской области насчитывалось 1 млн. 427,7 тыс. человек, в Минской — 1 млн. 401,8 тыс., в Брестской — 1 млн. 390,2 тыс., в Витебской — 1 млн. 208 тыс., в Могилевской — 1 млн. 76,5 тыс., в Гродненской — 1 млн. 58,3 тыс. человек.

В Беларуси в 2012 году родилось 114 тыс. 999 детей — на 5 тыс. 852 ребенка больше, чем в 2011 году. Общий коэффициент рождаемости за 2012 год в целом по республике составил 12,2 на 1000 жителей (в 2011-м — 11,5 промилле). Среди регионов страны самым высоким этот показатель был в Брестской области (13 промилле), а самым низким — в Витебской области (10,8 промилле). Больше всего новорожденных насчитывалось в 2012 году в Минске — 22 тыс. 362, меньше всего — в Могилевской области, где родилось за 2012 год 12 тыс. 695 детей.

В Беларуси за 2012 год умерли 126 тыс. 146 человек — на 8 тыс. 944 человека меньше по сравнению с 2011 годом. Общий коэффициент смертности за 2012 год в целом по республике составил 13,3 на 1000 жителей. Среди регионов страны самый высокий показатель был в Витебской области (15,4 промилле), а самый низкий — в Минске (9,2 промилле).

В 2012 году уровень младенческой смертности составил 3,4 на 1000 родившихся живыми (в 2011-м — 3,9 промилле). Это самый низкий показатель среди стран СНГ.

По статистическим данным, миграционный прирост в 2012 году по сравнению с 2011 годом снизился на 5,8% до 9 тыс. 328 человек. Положительное сальдо миграции уменьшило естественную убыль населения на 83,7% (в 2011 году — на 38,2%).
