Polish man to be deported from Belarus for drink driving
A Polish national will be deported from Belarus for drink driving, said the press office of the Minsk city police department on Thursday.
The man will not be allowed to enter Belarus for one year.
Officers of the Partyzanski district road traffic police reportedly caught the man drink driving on the Minsk Beltway a few days ago. His blood alcohol level was 1.6 promille, said the press office.
A further inquiry established that the Pole had a history of drink driving in Belarus. He had his driver’s license seized for three years in January 2010 but later managed somehow to get it back in his homeland, according to the report.
The citizenship and migration office of the Partyzanski district police department made a deportation order against him. The Pole was also fined 1,500,000 rubels ($172). //BelaPAN
