IMF expects Belarus' GDP to grow by no more than three percent this year

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projects Belarus' Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to grow by no more than three percent in 2012, according to the organization's report titled World Economic Outlook.

Belarus had a GDP growth of 5.3 percent in 2011.

IMF experts forecast that Belarus' GDP will increase by 3.3 percent in 2013 and by five percent in 2017.

The Belarusian government expects GDP to grow by five to 5.5 percent this year.

IMF experts also predict that Belarus' inflation will slow down from 108.7 percent in 2011 to 38.4 percent this year and 27.5 percent in 2013.

Minsk expects this year's inflation rate to be between 19 and 22 percent. //BelaPAN
