Lithuanian retail operator acquires land plot in Belarus to build vegetable-processing plant
Lithuanian retail operator Norfa Norfos Mazmena has acquired rights to a land plot in Vileyka, Minsk region, to build a vegetable-processing plant, reported the Baltic state’s newspaper Lietuvos Rytas this week.
Norfa Norfos Mazmena is expected to invest around five million euros in the project, work on which continues, CEO Dainius Dundulis told the newspaper.
Energy is cheap in Belarus, and there are other attractive conditions for businesses, he noted.
Founded in 1997, Norfa Norfos Mazmena ran 127 retail outlets in Lithuania at the end of 2011, according to its website. //BelaPAN
