OSCE recruiting external consultations for election observation mission to Belarus

 

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is recruiting external consultants to fill positions with its mission that will observe September's parliamentary elections in Belarus.

The positions include head of mission, deputy head of mission, political analyst, election analyst, legal analyst, media analyst, and coordinator of long-term observers.

According to the OSCE, candidates must be citizens of OSCE participating states, excluding citizens of Belarus. The deadline for applications is August 6.

OSCE participating states are to send 40 long-term and 270 short-term observers to Belarus for monitoring the elections. Those wishing to apply for the position should contact their country's respective OSCE delegation in Vienna or their country's foreign ministry. //BelaPAN
