Some 2,000 explosive items, over 80 kilograms of explosive materials seized by KGB in Homyel region this year
Officers of the Committee for State Security (KGB) have seized some 2,000 explosive items, 14 firearms units and more than 80 kilograms of explosive materials in the Homyel region since the beginning of the year, the press office of the regional KGB office told BelaPAN.
The KGB seized wartime grenades, mines and artillery shells from caches in the Rahachow and Rechytsa districts.
In April, a Georgian-born resident of Rechytsa was sentenced to three years in prison for illegally possessing and selling ammunition.
