Delegation of Russian journalists staying in Belarus
Some 90 journalists representing 80 Russian media outlets are staying in Belarus in another tour of the country organized by the Belarusian authorities.
The delegation arrived in Belarus on October 13. The journalists represent print press outlets with a total print run of three million copies and local and federal radio stations and television channels, according to the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus.
The journalists were expected to visit the National Academy of Sciences, the High-Technology Park and the National Center for Transplantation, all located in Minsk, as well as a number of industrial enterprises and sports training centers in the Brest region, the Brest Fortress memorial and the Nyasvizh Castle in the Minsk region.
On October 16, the final day of the visit, the journalists will meet with Alyaksandr Lukashenka, an event that is likely to be broadcast live by Belarusian television channels.
This is the 10th trip by a delegation of Russian reporters to Belarus organized by the Permanent Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia and the Belarusian embassy in Russia. Such events have been funded out of the Union State budget. // BelaPAN
