US charge d`affaires meets with Deputy Economy Minister Kudasaw

The US charge d’affaires to Belarus, Ethan Goldrich, had a meeting with Deputy Economy Minister Anton Kudasaw on January 10.

According to the press office of the economy ministry, Messrs. Kudasaw and Goldrich discussed the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Belarus, the implementation of international technical assistance programs, issues concerning Belarusian-US economic relations and the possibility of amending laws to step up them, and Belarus’ WTO accession progress.

Messrs. Kudasaw and Goldrich also exchanged opinions about the importance for Belarus to join the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which would help Belarus use the international legal basis to combat illegal businesses, the press office said. //BelaPAN
