Belarusian ambassador meets with Hungarian diplomat
Belarusian Ambassador Alyaksandr Khaynowski on Monday met with Laszlo Szoke, director of the Department for Foreign Affairs of the Office of the President of Hungary.
The meeting was held on the initiative of Mr. Khaynowski, according to the press office of the Belarusian foreign ministry.
Messrs. Khaynowski and Szoke discussed issues relating to bilateral cooperation and the development of a dialogue between Belarus and the European Union.
Also under discussion were the prospects for cooperating within various international organizations, including the Central European Initiative, which is currently chaired by Hungary, and the Visegrad Group (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia), which will be chaired by Hungary in the latter half of 2013.
Messrs. Khaynowski and Szoke expressed a mutual interest in the development of relations between the two countries in general and economic, investment, cultural and tourist cooperation in particular, the press office said. //BelaPAN
