National Nanotechnology Industry Association established in Belarus

 

A National Nanotechnology Industry Association has been established in Belarus pursuant to a directive by Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich, BelaPAN said.

Representatives of 18 nanotechnology companies participated in the Association`s founding conference on Friday, according to the economy ministry`s press office.

First Deputy Economy Minister Anatol Filonaw, Syarhey Chyzhyk, deputy chairman of the National Academy of Sciences, and Leanid Dzyamidaw, first deputy head of the State Committee on Science and Technologies took part in the conference.

The Association will work to protect and advance the interests of the nanotech sector by coordinating the activities of nanotech companies, representing them in dealings with the government and creating conditions for the establishment of contacts with each other and other Belarusian and foreign companies, the press office said.
