Belarusian entrant through to Eurovision final
Alyona Lanskaya of Belarus has qualified for the final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Sweden on May 18, BelaPAN said.
The 27-year-old pop singer finished in the top ten in Tuesday's 16-act semifinal in Malmo with her song Solayoh. A Belarusian entrant will appear in a Eurovision final for the first time since 2007.
Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Lithuania, Moldova, the Netherlands, Russia, and Ukraine also qualified. Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Montenegro, Slovenia and Serbia failed to make the cut. The second semifinal will take place on May 16.
