Mass brawl near supermarket in Minsk
A mass brawl took place near a supermarket in the Urucha neighborhood on the eastern outskirts of Minsk on June 24.
When reached by BelaPAN, Alyaksandr Lastowski, spokesman for the city police department, denied reports that one person had been shot with an air gun and died at the scene and that another had been hospitalized with a knife wound as a result of the brawl.
The police spokesman said that the scuffle had resulted from a "hooligan trick." He said that it was yet unclear whether the scuffle had anything to do with rivalry between soccer fans.
No other details were immediately available. //BelaPAN
