Russian reporter barred from covering Ukraine peace talks in Minsk over provocative behavior
Pavel Zarubin, a reporter of Russia’s federal television channel Rossiya (Russia), was removed Wednesday from the Independence Palace in Minsk and banned from covering the “Normandy Four” summit over provocative behavior.
The reporter shouted twice, "Mr. Poroshenko, why are your troops bombing Ukrainian civilians?" when Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his Ukrainian counterpart, Petro Poroshenko, were entering the palace at about 7 p.m.
Security men promptly pulled Mr. Zarubin from the ladder he was standing on.
An officer explained that the journalist would have his accreditation cancelled because of his “indecent and provocative behavior.” // BelaPAN
