France's Michelin tire maker names Belarusian Steel Works best metal cord supplier in 2009
France's tire maker Michelin has named the Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ) its best supplier of metal cord and bead wire in 2009, the Belarusian industry ministry's press office said, as quoted by BelaPAN.
Michelin representatives conducted an audit at the Zhlobin-based enterprise in March to assess its quality management and production practices. The auditors described the company's staff as highly skilled and open and its production practices as stable and well-managed.
Michelin purchased more than 11,000 tons of metal cord and over 4,000 tons of bead wire from the BMZ last year, becoming the Belarusian manufacturer's second-biggest customer.
