Belarus eases visa formalities for foreign passengers affected by European air chaos
The Belarusian government has temporarily eased visa formalities for foreigners whose flights have been cancelled because of drifting ash ejected from a volcano in Iceland.
Airlines canceled some flights from Minsk amid the traffic chaos, the press office of the Belarusian foreign ministry said in a statement on Friday, as quoted by BelaPAN. The easier visa formalities will be in place for the passengers until April 20, according to the report. When applying for a new visa, foreigners should submit expired airline tickets or a booking confirmation document.
