    Rescuers stage massive exercise at sports center in Minsk

    Emergency management units in Minsk practiced responding to a fire at an all-season freestyle ski aerials training center that includes a popular indoor water park on Thursday.

    Under the exercise scenario, people trapped under rubble had to be rescued. In addition, emergency management workers practiced rescuing people from a swimming pool and a person trapped at the top of the ramp.

    Multiple vehicles, including seven fire engines, and rescue dogs were employed in the exercise. Helicopters were also used as emergency management units practiced airlifting injured people to hospitals.
