Vietnamese president to arrive in Minsk on Wednesday evening
The president of Vietnam, Nguyen Minh Triet, is expected to arrive in Minsk on Wednesday evening, BelaPAN reports.
On May 13, the Vietnamese president is scheduled to have meetings with Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Prime Minister Syarhey Sidorski on May 13 and with Barys Batura, chairman of the Council of the Republic (upper parliamentary house), on May 14.
Also on Friday, representatives of about 80 Vietnamese companies are to take part in a Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum that will take place at the National Library of Belarus.
Belarusian Foreign Minister Syarhey Martynaw is expected to meet with his Vietnamese counterpart, who is to be among the officials accompanying the president.
Mr. Lukashenka paid a state visit to Vietnam in April 2008.
