Mourners pay last respects to filmmaker Ihar Dabralyubaw
Hundreds of people filed past the body of prominent filmmaker Ihar Dabralyubaw as it lay in state in the House of Cinema in Minsk on Thursday, BelaPAN reports.
Mr. Dabralyubaw, who was also an actor and screenwriter, passed away in a Minsk hospital on July 19 at the age of 76 after a series of heart attacks and strokes. He was best-known for his 1983 hit comedy "Belyye Rosy," which tells the tale of a family having to adjust to urban life after being told to move from their village.
Mr. Dabralyubaw was laid to rest at the Uskhodniya cemetery in the Belarusian capital later on Thursday.
