Lukashenka appoints new ambassadors to some countries
Alyaksandr Lukashenka on February 4 appointed new ambassadors to a number of foreign countries.
In particular, according to the presidential press office, the head of state appointed former Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Yewdachenka ambassador to Belgium and Belarus’ permanent representative to the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Leanid Krupets, formerly deputy chairman of the Council of the Republic (upper parliamentary house) and chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, was appointed ambassador to Brazil.
Valery Sadokha, formerly director of the foreign ministry’s external economic activities department, was appointed ambassador to Vietnam.
Aleh Yarmalovich, the Belarusian ambassador to Syria, was appointed to double as ambassador to Jordan and Lebanon.
The ambassador to Iran, Viktar Rybak, was appointed to double as ambassador to Pakistan, and the ambassador to Italy, Yawhen Shestakow, was appointed to double as ambassador to Malta. //BelaPAN
