Russia will not respond to EU sanctions against Belarusian companies, Putin says
Russia will not respond to the imposition by the European Union of economic sanctions against Belarusian companies, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told reporters in Moscow following a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Belarusian-Russian Union State.
“Belarus will manage to overcome these complications and turbulent processes,” Mr. Putin said, according to RIA Novosti. “I even have no doubt about it. I don’t think it would be expedient for Russia to somehow respond to other countries’ actions. We don’t respond immediately to such things, but everything we do in the framework of integration will certainly support the Belarusian economy in one way or another.” //BelaPAN
