Belarusbank pays off $145-million syndicated loan
Belarusbank has paid off a $145-million syndicated loan that Belarus' largest bank obtained in December 2010.
The loan was arranged by Germany's VTB Bank (Deutschland) AG, Switzerland's Credit Suisse AG, Hungary's OTP Bank Plc. and Russia's Vneshtorgbank, Alfa Bank and Promsvyazbank.
The loan was to be used for financing trade transactions.
This became the largest-ever syndicated loan provided to a Belarusian bank.
The timely repayment of the loan will help Belarusbank borrow from foreign lenders on more advantageous terms in the future, the bank's press office said. //BelaPAN
