Deputy minister notes fall in outflow of construction workers

The number of construction workers leaving Belarus to get a job abroad has decreased, Deputy Construction Minister Iryna Arkhipava told reporters in Minsk on Monday.

The deputy minister said that the outflow of construction workers was influenced by many factors, including pay and the performance of Belarusian construction companies. "There are construction enterprises with a very low outflow of workforce because they have enough orders and their employees feel confident about tomorrow and their pay," she said.

"The outflow of labor has been small so far, it's not that good abroad," she said. "It's better to be paid less but live at home. Everyone chooses what he finds more convenient. The conditions that we offer make it possible to say that the outflow of labor has decreased at companies where everything is balanced. There's no such trend as a labor outflow." //BelaPAN
