This year’s export surplus in Belarus’ trade in goods said to have decreased by $474.3 million in October


This year’s export surplus in Belarus’ trade in goods decreased by $474.3 million in October to $913.5 million compared with a deficit of $3,641.6 million in the first 10 months of 2011, according to the National Statistical Committee (Belstat).

Belarus reportedly had a $5,453.1-million deficit of foreign trade in goods in 2011 against a deficit of $9,600.9 million in the previous year.

According to Belstat, Belarus had an export surplus of $126.1 million in January 2012, $387 million in January and February, $715.7 million in the first quarter of the year, $1,024.5 million in the first four months, $1,513.7 million in the first five months, $1,990.6 million in the first six months and $1,671.8 million in the first eight months of the year.

Belarus' foreign trade in goods in January-September reportedly totaled $77,883.7 million, a 9.4-percent year-on-year increase, with exports amounting to $39,398.6 million, a 16.6-percent increase, and imports to $38,485.1 million, a 2.8-percent increase. //BelaPAN
